Yoga Bio

Sara first fell in love with yoga at the age of 18, to help her deal with the stresses of college and `adulthood`. What started as a weekly yoga class at the local gym turned into a daily practice at various studios in and around the island of Montreal. By the time she turned 20, she was hooked.

Sara completed her first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal. She went on to attend workshops and day-long retreats touching on subjects ranging from Yoga for Detox, Restorative yoga and Yoga for a Healthy Spine, to name a few. She is presently working towards her Thai Yoga Massage certification with Golden Thai Yoga. She is thankful to the many teachers she has had the opportunity to learn from and train with, most notably AYM’s Allison Ulan, Eugene Poku and Jessie Goldberg, and Golden Thai Yoga’s Stephanie Golden.

To Sara, the tenets and teachings of yoga must not solely be practiced on the mat, but must also be incorporated within your everyday life in order to spread the message of love, peace and compassion towards yourself and all beings. When Sara is not hanging out in Downward Dog, you can find her making green smoothies, eating cookies and writing blog posts!
